The 2020 Labor 411 Directory

Designed and printed just in time for the pandemic shutdown, this 120-page directory is one of my favorite portfolio pieces that — like so many other 2020 projects — never had its time to shine.

The Labor 411 directories are a powerful tool in selecting and prioritizing union-made goods and services. Our small team would diligently research a variety of industries to determine which organizations put workers’ rights and needs first. With 10,000+ listings, a dozen sections, sponsor marketing, and unique interviews and articles, the book is dense and multi-faceted. It was a rewarding challenge, if not a bit short-lived.

As Art Director for Senders Communications Group, I spearheaded a thorough design update and managed all elements of the layout. From image selection to complex listing text treatment, from custom advertisements to verifying items line by line, I built this book page by page and take great pride in the final product.
